Privacy summary

How BageBook handles writing data

This is a technical project summary, not a substitute for legal advice or a complete privacy policy.

Private writing

Authenticated entries and folders are stored in user-scoped browser IndexedDB and synchronized through the configured Firebase Firestore paths. Firestore rules require an authenticated user to match the user path.

Encryption

Encryption is optional in the current application. When configured, entry content is encrypted in the browser using AES-GCM before it is persisted or synchronized. See the security page for details and limitations.

Public content

Creator profiles and published community writing are separate public features. Anything intentionally published there should be treated as public.

Repository status

The repository does not currently publish a complete legal privacy policy, retention schedule, or third-party data-processing list. Review the live application and source repository before using BageBook for sensitive material.
